The Governor declares public holidays in the whole of Uttar Pradesh on the festivals, national festivals and the dates of birth of the great men specified in the following list.  In exercise of the powers conferred on the State Government vide Government of India’s Notification No.-20/25-56-Pub-1, dated June 08, 1957, it is also clarified that these public holidays will be considered as public holidays as specified.  2 If any festival/festival, national festival and date of birth of legends occur together on one date/day, then in such case a public holiday will not be declared on a separate day.  The dates of all public holidays of the year 2022 i.e. Shaka Samvat 1943-1944 and Vikram Samvat 2078-2079 (under the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881) will be as follows:

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared Holika Dahan on Thursday, March 17, Thursday, and Holi Milan on Friday, March 18, according to the calendar of the year 2022 to the General Administration Department and all state employees and the next day, March 19, Saturday, March 20, Sunday, will get a holiday like this.  During Holi, you will get 4 consecutive days off.
